The burnt finish board Dark Bear (outdoor version) is perfect for outdoor decoration, as it is treated with UV-resistant oil. During the processing process, the board is heavily burnt and brushed, resulting in an expressive aged surface structure and a dark brown tone.
At the beginning of the processing process, specially selected coniferous boards are burned on all four sides, achieving a carbon layer of at least 2mm. The boards are then brushed, rinsed, dried and finally treated in a special way with a natural outdoor oil that protects them from UV radiation. Thanks to the fact that the burning process is carried out with a precision feeding machine, the resulting finishing boards have a uniform surface structure. Over the years, the tone will become slightly lighter, until it reaches a chocolate brown shade. However, the dark brown tone can be restored by re-treating with oil.
Boards treated in this way do not absorb moisture, do not mold, they repel pests (mice, rats), and most importantly – they look great on the facade of the house. Compared to other finishing materials, burnt boards also have the following advantages:
- Long service life – as is known, burnt boards, if periodically treated with oil, can last 50 or even more years;
- Increased fire safety – since the surface of the boards is burned, they can no longer catch fire so easily;
- Environmentally friendly, ecological material – no chemicals are used in the production process, but only natural processing products, including linseed oil stains and paints;
- The surface does not peel or crack – unlike painted finishing boards, the surface of burnt finishing boards will not crack or peel even after 30 years of operation;
- Easy maintenance – after a longer period of use, the surface can be easily restored by re-treating with oil.
By choosing the burnt board finish Dark Bear, you will get a beautiful home facade that will last for many decades and will be enjoyed by your children and grandchildren.
